pub enum GateBlockReason {
PredepositExhausted,
ShareLag,
}Expand description
Why the gate refused a packet.
A closed enum, so it can be a metric label — the same argument as
SessionPixCloseReason, and it is carried for the same reason:
an operator asked “why is egress stalled” needs to tell an Entry that has not deposited from one
that has deposited but stopped returning shares. Those are different faults with different
remedies, and a bare “refused” conflates them.
Variants§
PredepositExhausted
Unfunded, and the current front has spent its whole predeposit allowance. Service resumes when the deposit confirms, or when a paid handoff restores the allowance for a successor.
Funded, but service has run max_served_without_progress packets ahead of the shares coming
back. Service resumes on the next validated progress notification for the front cycle.
