Internal close reasons emitted by the supervisor.
These are mapped to public ClosureReason by the caller.
Variants§
CommitmentTimeout
The commitment delivery deadline expired.
DepositTimeout
The deposit deadline expired without a sufficient deposit.
DepositObserverClosed
The deposit observer channel closed without delivering a confirmation.
RecoveryIdle
Service was consumed but no useful progress was made — service-gated idle.
RecoveryDeadline
The per-SSA hard recovery deadline expired.
A polynomial’s share set failed to open its commitment.
There is no threshold behind this: the first report closes the Session, and the reported
observed_total is diagnostic only. See the module documentation for why a tolerance would
buy nothing — a failed part can never be reconstructed, so the cycle can never pay.
BatchServedOutOfOrder
Too much of the batch’s recovery progress landed on cycles behind the front one — see
SupervisorConfig::max_off_front_share_fraction.
CounterRegression
A counter observation decreased (protocol violation).
InvalidTransition
Internal inconsistency (e.g., mismatched target, event on unknown SSA).
NoSsaRemaining
The SSA set drained (all SSAs expired/recovered without a successor).
The supervisor action driver failed or was dropped.
SessionClosed
The Session was closed at the Exit with nothing left worth draining.
Not a fault: it is the ordinary end of a Session whose funded cycle the Exit cannot finish out of the SURBs it holds — or which had no funded cycle at all. What it reports is that the Session ended because it was closed, rather than because one of the deadlines above expired.
Drained
The funded cycle recovered after the Session had already been closed at the Exit.
The good outcome of a drain, and the reason the drain exists: the deposit the Entry paid for
that cycle is released rather than stranded. A drain that instead runs out of SURBs or of
shares closes with RecoveryIdle or
RecoveryDeadline, which is why there is no third reason here.
