Expand description

Indicates the closure reason of a HoprSession.

Delivered to the on_close callback a Session is constructed with — see HoprSession::new — and to the SessionManager’s closure notifier, so a caller has to be able to name this type to write either.

Variants§

§

WriteClosed

Write-half of the Session has been closed.

§

EmptyRead

Read-part of the Session has been closed (encountered empty read).

§

Eviction

Session has been evicted from the cache due to inactivity or capacity reasons.

§

UnrealizedDeposit

Deposit to an SSA has not been made on-time on a PIX-enabled Session.

§

MissingDepositData

The local deposit pool did not supply the deposit data an SSA batch needs.

Exit-side and locally caused, unlike UnrealizedDeposit which is the Entry failing to pay. Kept apart from it for exactly that reason: the two look alike from the outside — a PIX Session that stopped — and point at opposite nodes.

§

PixFailure

The PIX supervisor ended the Session — a recovery deadline elapsed, too many shares failed verification, or the supervisor itself became unavailable.

Distinct from UnrealizedDeposit and MissingDepositData, which name the two PIX failures an operator can act on directly; the rest are collapsed here and distinguished in telemetry by the supervisor’s own close reason.
