pub struct FillRate {
pub packets: u32,
pub per: Duration,
}Expand description
A rate at which the Exit originates PIX fill keep-alives.
A count over a period rather than a float, because it maps one-to-one onto
RateController::set_rate_per_unit and therefore says exactly what the stream will do. The
heartbeat is one packet per minute; expressing that as 0.0166… packets/s and converting back
would be a rounding error in a value whose whole purpose is to be small and exact.
Fields§
§packets: u32Packets to emit per per.
per: DurationThe period packets is measured over. Never zero.
Implementations§
Source§impl FillRate
impl FillRate
Sourcepub const ZERO: Self
pub const ZERO: Self
Emit nothing. The rate a Session is left at once it has no funded cycle to fill for.
Sourcepub const fn per_second(packets: u32) -> Self
pub const fn per_second(packets: u32) -> Self
packets per second.
Sourcepub fn as_packets_per_sec(&self) -> f64
pub fn as_packets_per_sec(&self) -> f64
This rate in packets per second.
Zero for a zero period as well as for zero packets: a period that cannot be divided by is not
an infinite rate, it is a rate this planner refuses to have produced. Both routes by which a
heartbeat reaches the planner guard against one — validate_pix_supervision rejects a zero for
a config that was validated, and SessionManager::new raises it to a positive floor for the
programmatic ones that never are — so this arm is a last line rather than the thing doing the
work.
